New Watercolor – “SMOOTHIE`S”

I have added a new watercolor commission to my gallery. The painting title is SMOOTHIE`S. The name refers to a term used in the 50s and 60s. Custom cars that had the trim and door handles shaved, decked and chopped were called smoothie`s. The feature car is a 1941 Olds 2 Door Coupe, along with a 1940 Ford Convertible, 1940 Ford 2 Door Coupe,a 1956 Monarch Convertible, and a 1965 Ford Fairlane. Prints are now available. All the Best for the Holidays and a Happy New Year.  Roger

Torino – My Latest Commission!

My latest commission!

brett-young-torino

This took 10 evenings of about three quarters on an hour each evening. It is done entirely in coloured pencil (Faber Castell Polychromos mainly) and was a very difficult colour to match. But I love the wheels.

CarArt.us News – The Jack Vettriano Gallery

CAR ART, INC. is pleased to introduce the automotive art of Scotland’s most successful artist, Jack Vettriano.

car-art-news

There can be few people unfamiliar with The Singing Butler by Jack Vettriano.
This charming painting by the self-taught Scotsman has sold a staggering six million prints worldwide. It is more popular than Monet’s Water Lillies or Van Gogh’s Sunflowers — astonishing for a man who was previously a coal mining engineer.

Find out more about on their “What’s New” page.
