About The Artist:
I have had a passion for Motorsport for as long as I can remember. My earliest recollection goes back to when I was a small boy growing up in and around the sight and smell of Racing Cars. I would often smuggle my way into the Crystal Palace Race Circuit to listen to the sound of Racing cars warming up their engines early on a Sunday Morning, the glorious days before the noise abaitment people objected.
I would get in early in the morning hoping to catch a glimpse of the likes of the young Ayrton Senna one of the young hopefuls of the day, little did I know what an effect this was going to have on me later in life. Even when I left home got married and eventually moved to Kent. Purely by chance I found myself living 20 minutes from a Race Circuit the historic Brands Hatch, so I suppose it was only a matter of time that I was to return to my passion.
My first return to Motor Racing funny enough was by chance. I was chatting to a collegue at work who was a Motorbike Marshall at the weekends and he invited me along to a meeting at Lyddon Race Circuit in Kent, and I was hooked, I did a whole Season.
I travelled the whole of Britain, with my trustee Camera, that’s where I really started to take my passion to another level. I found myself getting more and more commissions from both the riders, their wifes and girlfriends.
It was around this time that I found myself going to bigger Race Meetings. I would go to the British Grand Prix, I attended most of the Car, and Bike Shows, collecting photographic material for future commissioned artworks. I found myself looking for more ambitious projects to commission, which is probably why my artworks are so carefully planned, prepared and finished to such a high standard. I like to capture the sense of action speed and excitement, along with a fantastic eye for detail.
The recent demand for commissioned artworks, from corporate, commercial and private clients has increased to a level that I now work full time as a freelance Illustrator,
Riders/Drivers have you considered thanking your sponsors with a Graphite sketch or a full colour Illustration, or a Painting, working from Photographs? I can produce quality fine art Illustrations of Portraits/Vehicles through to full Race action including all Circuit and Crowd scenes. Original Illustrated artworks are not as expensive as you may think.
Contact me for a realistic quote for all your requirements, commissions welcome from Personal and commercial through to Clubman and single seater racing.
