Rick Herron
About The Artist:
Rick began drawing around 1958 when he was about 8. He worked many jobs in the automotive industry gaining a knowledge of how an automobile works, and completed a degree in English Literature in 1982 and in Graphic Design in 1999. “Needless to say the foundation art courses tought me the fundamentals about color and perspective some of which I had only to be familiarized again from all those years drawing. The English literature taught me the importance of telling a story regardless what artform is used.”
In 2000 he set up classicautorenderings.com a dedicated internet site and was the first to publish online digital art with choices of color for the cars represented. He has had licensing with Ford Motor Company and continues with Shelby and the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Co. “I have done commissions for Sports Car Club of America racers and for Mercedes Benz on the west coast and have also done automotive design work for a number of clients. Rick especialy loves a challange and works or has worked with acrylics, pastels and digital art for worldwide clients as far away as Austrailia on varied projects.
