1949 Indian Warrier Again
Raining so inside today painted from a pastel.
See Car Art Inc.’s newsletter titled 20 Designers Pick Top 10 Cars of All Time.

Here’s another hot rod and train combination. This is a 28×36 acrylic on canvas and depicts a ’32 Ford coupe beating a pair of Reading Railroad FP7 diesel locomotives through the crossing.

I have added my latest watercolor commission to my gallery. A 1966 Ford Fairlane GT Convertible and a 1967 Ford Ranchero GT. Fairlane fought for Ford in Detroit`s raging muscle car war with 390 and 427 V8s that also won big in stock-car racing. The most difficult part of this painting was capturing in watercolor the candyapple red that was a factory color offered by Ford in the 60s. I have also included a working drawing of the painting. Thanks, Roger
A recent commission. Two souped up Mazdas. An RX3 and a Familia (NZ model) wagon.
This is entirely in coloured pencil.

I have added a new watercolor commission to my gallery. The painting title is SMOOTHIE`S. The name refers to a term used in the 50s and 60s. Custom cars that had the trim and door handles shaved, decked and chopped were called smoothie`s. The feature car is a 1941 Olds 2 Door Coupe, along with a 1940 Ford Convertible, 1940 Ford 2 Door Coupe,a 1956 Monarch Convertible, and a 1965 Ford Fairlane. Prints are now available. All the Best for the Holidays and a Happy New Year. Roger
