Automotive Design Projects from Jim Gerdom
Here are two of my Automotive Design projects. They provide an interesting contrast.
The 1932 Ford Pro-Touring 2-dr Sedan was done as a contemporary take on a Street Rod. The 80 in the background commemorates the 80th anniversary of the 32 Ford.
The Minicar is about the size of a Fiat 500. It’s working name is “K8”. This is a high-performance version, intended to demonstrate that small cars can be fun. The large wheels and some of the body lines were inspired bi 1960s Dune Buggies. It’s a 3-door, 2 place, with the engine low behind the seats, driving the rear wheels, similar in layout to a Smart.
