Club Artistes Auto
Dear Automotive Artists
Fellow artists Nicolas Cancelier (Belgium), Paul Chenard (Canada), Anna-Louise Felstead (UK) and Rick Rucker (USA) have created an international organization of automotive artists, called Club Artistes Auto (CAA).
The potential for automotive artists is huge; this is the only group of truly international automotive artists!
Here are some of the parameters that govern the group:
- No age restriction, but applicants’ portfolios will be reviewed for admittance by a panel of 4 judges, with skill and creativity of the applicant being priorities.
- We will encourage idea and techniques exchanges.
- At shared events, we would book our booths together so that we can watch for each others booths, and socialize together; that includes dinner after thedays event.
- We will look at joint promos, and organizing art exhibitions at majors events.
- We will encourage social community activity by the members, and with direct support from fellow members when possible.
- We will look at having a web presence with a blog, a forum and a members gallery.
- With a strong membership of quality automotive artists, the CAA will be able to reserve a block of booths for those attending events, and in some instances, get a discounted rate for our members.
The goal of the members of this group is to be there, and to be part of it.
After the first year, the 4 founding member judges will give the portfolio review responsibility to a new set of member judges, each judge responsible for finding their replacement.
We hope that you will seriously consider begin part of this dynamic group, and apply following the guidelines of the attached brochure.
Hopefully, we are the kind of active group that you are looking for, and that you are the member the group is looking for!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Cheers!

Automotive artists sharing their art, their ideas and their time.
The Club Artistes Auto has been created as a vehicle for automotive artists to share their art, their ideas and their time with fellow automotive artists.
In turn, the Club will actively support and promote the members’ artwork and artistic approaches through gallery shows, special events and media releases, all organized and orchestrated by the members.
Members are encouraged to take a social role in their community, with direct support when possible from Club Artistes Auto.
Membership
To apply for membership, the automotive artist must submit a portfolio (PDF or JPGs) of 10 artworks, which can include sketches, draft sketches, drawings, mixed-media, paintings, sculptures, with a brief technical description of each (title, medium, size). In addition, 3 of the 10 artworks must include a more detailed description, for example, the reasons for creating the piece, and/or explanation of the artistic approach. The art will be judged by a panel of 4 member-judges; this panel of judges will change each year.
Once a prospective applicant’s work has been reviewed and accepted by the board, the new member must submit an artwork of their choosing with a 300-word “story”. This “story” can be of the subject of the composition, or simply a description of the processes used to achieve the finished piece.
These “stories” will be assembled and professionally laid out and used by the Club Artistes Auto to promote its members’ art; it will be available to all members for their self-promotion.
To maintain their yearly membership, members will be required to submit an artwork/story every year, which will be published in that year’s promotional document.

Thanks Greg for posting this.
Club Artistes Auto was created to help the artists in getting their artwork known worldwide with the help of their fellow artists.
We are in all the same boat; let’s work together.
Cheers!
