About The Artist:
Nick Denny has been involved in the arts from a very young age – he cultivated his drawing abilities early in life, spurred on by living for many years in Europe and seeing many of the great art museums and masterpieces before he was out of high school. He became seriously involved in automotive art and restoration since at 17, when his parents bought him his first car, a 1971 Dodge Charger. As his family continued to add more classics to the stable, participation in car shows led to him taking lots of photographs to use for reference for possible projects later on, and carrying a sketchbook to every car show he attended. After his father retired from the Air Force, the family moved to Kansas where he enrolled in the Fine Arts program at Wichita State University. He graduated in 2002 with a BFA in Painting and Drawing.
Nick has worked the last 13 years as a sign designer, fabricator and installer in Kansas, while continuing to produce artwork in his home studio. Much of his commission work of late has been portraiture, but he continues to develop his automotive portfolio in his spare time, with the occasional commissioned automotive work squeezed in.
