The first street race around the waterfront of Wellington was held in 1985. Many stars of overseas racing turned up plus one lonely Volvo 240T at the very last minute. Driven by local hero Robbie Fracevic and Belgian Michel Delcourt it was so late it started from last place without a practice even. and won! This drawing shows it crossing the unique 1 lane wooden bridge on the track. Brett Young »
