Two New Works in Progress

The two pieces here are WIP’s at the moment. Firstly is a small colour study for a larger acrylic that will portray Gilles Villeneuve in the Ferrari 126CK1. The title of this piece will be “Speed Demon” which fits well with his iconic status as one of the most fearless racers in F1 history. I am also working on a portrayal of a Mustang GT350. Here is a black and white tonal study which will be worked up to a larger acrylic work. I would like to eventually do a series of cars from the 60’s-70’s that have a luminous quality about them with use of bold colour, and combining a mixture of loose brush work with technical accuracy. Black Beauty

1956 Imperial
