1963 Corvette Grand Sport by Jim Gerdom
The 1963 Corvette Grand Sport was a purpose-built race car, built on a tube frame, with a body that resembled the production 1963 Corvette. Five were made, and all still exist, although most have been modified from their original configuration. This is chassis #001, as it appeared before the 1963 Nassau race. The artwork was a commission project for a manufacturer of model kits, for use as box art. At the client’s request, it is shown without markings and with the headlights uncovered.
